As a counselor, I aim to promote the overall social and emotional development of children and adolescents through conscious, mindful living and acceptance. My goal is to see children and teens become the best versions of themselves. The Grace Space advantage is the experience I have in the school setting and clinical setting. In the school setting, I spent years working with teachers and students and gained an understanding of those limits and demands. I am experienced with the Section 504 process and IEPs which is unique to private practice counseling. I have hands-on expertise working with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and School Phobia in and out of the school setting. I work with many children to develop social skills, emotional regulation, calming strategies, and coping skills. I also assist children in working through emotions related to divorce, loss of a parent or guardian, living with an incarcerated or mentally ill parent, and other trauma. An additional asset is my experience as a Psychiatric RN working with mental illness and medications. I naturally look at clients through a clinical lens as well as the typical emotional – social adjustment and development of the client.
My goal is to assist parents with creating an environment conducive to a strong, loving connection with their child. Some of my most rewarding experiences are pointing parents in the right direction and to valuable resources to better meet their child’s needs. No matter the type of struggle your child is facing, through the therapeutic and accepting relationship at The Grace Space and the strengthened bond with you, your child can find a place of healing and growth – emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Every child and family is unique, therefore, the sessions will be designed and catered to your specific needs, values, and personality. I look forward to getting to know you and your family. Nothing is more rewarding to me than watching you and your child grow, overcome, and thrive!
